What is Carbon Capture?

Carbon Capture is a broad term that refers to the act of a party removing carbon from the atmosphere to offset carbon that has been emitted. This can be done using a variety of methods including direct air capture (DAC), natural capture (plants) and chemical capture, to name a few. If a party removes more carbon than they themselves produced, they can register the excess as a Carbon Offset Credit. One credit is the equivalent of one ton of carbon that has been removed from the atmosphere. These credits can then be sold to other emitters to help them reach carbon neutrality. This action creates the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM).

What do we do?

At EAV-A, we work in the Carbon Market by creating nature based carbon capture projects. Our projects consist of both anti-deforestation (REDD+) and reforestation efforts. We work to ensure each project not only serves the environment we operate in, but also the people that rely on the resources that environment provides. We believe in exceeding standards when it comes to compensating the communities we work in. To learn more about how we do this, please contact us!

Who do we work with?

We work alongside many government agencies, local leaders, and individuals in the communities around our projects. We believe any jobs created by our projects should go to those who live in the area so that the economic benefits are felt. This means we focus heavily on education and training in our project areas.

Available Natural Resources

East Africa is home to many different natural resources and crops that are available to use and sell in the surrounding areas.
